I am a graphic designer with a strong interest in art direction and editorial layout for print production. Fashion photography and the collage of these images is a core feature of my work, applied to appropriately provoking text to create a cohesive and stimulating outcome.
In my professional practise I aspire to be a creative and artistic director, employing a diverse range of media to produce my work. I seek to engage my intended audience with self-authored word, provoking imagery, type configuration and layout design, all of which are translated through printed and digital media.
Progressive social awareness is the driving force behind my work, which encompasses identity, information design and broader visual communication.
As a graphic communicator it is the visual message, rather than the aesthetic, which is my principal concern; consequently the intended statement itself directs the choice of media.
I aim to produce thoughtful and apposite responses to the message of my writings. My work is designed to function in the traditional sense of a physical publication as well as potential digital and online applications. My design is bespoke and involves content specific layout, typography selections and appropriate studio based fashion-forward photography.
One of my intentions is to challenge a binary society and highlight identity issues in an impactful and effective manner.
