Fibonacci Grid, 2014

The composition of this print was derived completely from the first 7 numbers in Fibonacci sequence: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13. I used these numbers to divided my page then used straight lines at 90 and 45 degree angles to create my initial grid: the shapes present them self naturally. There is a harmony, balance and sense of order to the composition that directly reflects the Fibonacci sequence; a series of numbers that defines many of the patterns we see in our natural world.
